Summer Internship Program
Our Distribution Center Internship allows you to learn about our distribution system by spending a week in each department, from inbound and outbound to transportation and maintenance. A mentor will be with you throughout this program as you learn what a supervisor career with us entails.
Collaborate on a group project with our Supply Chain Vice President's guidance and visit our Store Support Center in Nashville to present your findings to our leadership team. Then comes three days of corporate office tours, executive discussions, intern networking, and city exploration.
Excel in this program and have the opportunity to interview to become a DC Supervisor!
Human Resources Summer Internship Program
As a Distribution Center Human Resources Summer Intern, gain exposure to essential aspects of HR such as interviewing, hiring, onboarding, safety, engagement, employee relations, and more. A mentor will help guide your leadership development throughout the program.
At the end of the program, you’ll visit our Store Support Center and present what you’ve learned to our leadership team. During your visit, you can tour our facility, chat with executives, and explore the city.

Our Store Support Center Internship Program cultivates your business acumen and gives you hands-on, cross-functional experience. Learn to drive significant business impact through strategic projects, presentations, executive leadership exposure, and customized development. This immersive experience helps you cultivate your knowledge in all retail business areas.
The internship experience culminates with an end-of-program celebration at our Store Support Center in Goodlettsville, TN. This event will include presentations to leadership, networking events, and a community service project in Nashville with your fellow interns.

The Dollar General College Symposium, held once a year at our Store Support Center in Goodlettsville, TN, is a unique event designed to bring incoming graduates together to explore areas of interest within a growing Fortune 150 company. During this one-day event, you’ll learn business tactics and strategies, participate in skill-building sessions and hear keynotes from leaders.

Dollar General’s Business Leadership program targets MBA students with two to three years of work experience who want to become future leaders. With the tools and resources of a billion-dollar company, you’ll complete several rotations and gain exposure to different sides of our business.
